This is a great, down home soul food spot in SoBro just West of Keystone in 53rd Street, in the South Keystone Shopping Center. The picture of MLK & JFK greet you as you walk in and the aroma of bacon cooking on the flattop as well as the pancakes & waffles fill the air. Food is simple but really good, and the portions are huge. You will not go away hungry. Service is busy but efficient and the prices are reasonable. My family and I have been going here for years, and have never had a bad meal. Football Sundays are especially entertaining! Enjoy!

The Keystone Diner is a classic American diner for breakfast. Yellow and white vinyl table coverings set the tone. The ambience is "hustle and bustle" with quick service. The kitchen is open to the dining room. The coffee is good and served in real coffee mugs. We enjoyed No. 3 Earl's Simple Breakfast with your choice of eggs, meat and bread. The eggs are cooked to perfection with very generous meat portions. (Dieters beware.). Make sure you choose the homemade biscuits for your bread. Seating is normally self serve. We were the fifth party in line on a busy Sunday at noon and were seated in about 10 minutes.

The vegetarian omelet was a delightful mix of fresh vegetables cooked to perfection. The fried potatoes with green peppers and onions were lightly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, creating a satisfying blend of textures. The salmon croquette added a delightful element to the meal, with a crispy exterior and a moist, flavorful interior. (I will add this with each meal.) What stood out was the taste and the portion sizes - indeed, you get substantial servings for your money, making it a great value. The ambiance was comfortable, and the service was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. Their diverse menu suggests a commitment to catering to various tastes, and my positive first impression has definitely instilled the desire to explore more of what they have to offer on subsequent visits--highly recommended for those looking for a satisfying and affordable brunchy experience in Indianapolis.

Pretty, pretty, pretty good breakfast place. With a very unassuming and unpretentious on both the inside and the outside, with very hard-working staff, we still had a very solid experience. We were impressed with the variety of choices that the menu offered, we had a really hard time choosing our meals. Shoutout to the people I was with who agreed to quasi share all our meals. I really liked the corned beef hash I got, and the Bill's Breakfast my friend (not named Bill) got. My husband got the chicken and waffles with the h it honey upgrade. This was the weakest of the dishes, and the honey was just mixed with hot sauce. We still ate and enjoyed it though. Overall, this was a surprisingly good experience. My not-named-Bill friend is a local and said he may have found a new place to be a regular at. Give them a try!

Biscuits and gravy was great! My waitress was great as well. I recomend you get breakfast here.

Not even sure we knew this place existed before today. Doing brunch with good friends today and they came up with Keystone Diner. Not sure if there was a wait or not since our friends were seated when we got there. There was definitely a wait later. Food was kinda your typical Diner fair, which done right is great. Our server was friendly and drinks and refills were always there. Food didn't take long to get and I loved the open kitchen. Food ordered was: Earls Simple Breakfast ( Bacon, Two eggs, biscuit and Added a side of gravy ) Breakfast Bowl ( Hash browns, onions and sausage topped with 2 scrambled eggs then smothered with sausage gravy and shredded cheddar, w toast) Build Your Own Omelet ( ham, bacon, sausage and cheddar cheese) and Eggs Benedict with country ham. No one had any food complaints. Portions were good size and everyone was full. Very much a dive but dives always have the best food. We will be back.

I would have the best local place for breakfast within 20 miles. The food is good enough to slap your mamma. Great service and coffee that gets you going all day. So check it out.
